Paste full 17-char VIN or just the last 7 characters
General / Cross-Platform
S58B30T0 — M2 / M3 / M4 / X3M / X4M
S63B44T4 — M5 / M8 / X5M / X6M
How it works
What is FSC? Feature Status Code — a cryptographic token that activates features in your BMW's DME (Engine ECU).
How to use: Import the generated .fsc file to your ECU using E-Sys (DiagAddr 0x12, WriteDataByIdentifier). Then apply the required coding for the feature.
Supported ECUs: All BMW DMEs using long FSC format — MG1CS003, MG1CS201, MD1CS003, MSD80/81/85, MEVD17.2.x, DME-8xT0/86T0, KAFAS3/4.
Cost: Free — included with any Bimmer Studio account (Starter plan or above). No credits consumed.
What is the BMW FSC Generator?
The FSC Generator creates Feature Status Codes — cryptographic activation tokens used by BMW DME (Digital Motor Electronics) ECUs to enable or disable software-locked features. These codes are VIN-specific and ECU-specific, following BMW's proprietary long-FSC format.
Unlike hardware modifications, FSC activation is purely software-based: the code is written to the ECU via UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services), specifically using the WriteDataByIdentifier (0x2E) service at diagnostic address 0x12.

Requirements & How to Apply
Generate: Enter your last 7 VIN digits, select features, and download the .fsc file(s). Requires a free Bimmer Studio account.
Write to ECU: Connect to your DME via ENET/OBD using E-Sys, ISTA, or a compatible diagnostic tool. Use WriteDataByIdentifier (SID 0x2E) at DiagAddr 0x12.
Code the feature: After FSC is written, apply the NCD/CAFD coding to enable the feature in the ECU configuration. Use Coding Studio or E-Sys Expert Mode.
Disclaimer: FSC activation modifies ECU software configuration. Use at your own risk. Not intended for vehicles under warranty or in jurisdictions where ECU modification is prohibited.
